Qualifications: 

A four-year technical degree preferred OR a minimum of five years in a technical role in manufacturing. Past experience leading continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and increase efficiencies of operations. Statistics background preferred.

 

Responsibilities:              

Lead Continuous Improvement efforts in Manufacturing.  Work with supervisors, leadmen, and associates in each area to improve throughput, ergonomics, as well as maintain a safe work environment.  Weekly, evaluate jobs and develop an action plan on the top “losers” to bring these jobs to rate.  This includes quick die change and the 5S programs.  Document on Ghant chart and report progress weekly.

 

Review scrap report monthly and work with production to determine root causes for failures.  Develop an action plan to reduce the scrap on these jobs.

 

Development and optimization of manufacturing processes for new products and product revisions.
